RUTH PETTY – CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Ruth
completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at WITS. She then went
to RAU, where she completed her Honours degree. In 1991, she graduated
from the Masters Programme in Clinical Psychology, for which she
achieved cum laude results. For approximately the next two years, she
worked as a psychologist in a hospital, managing the Clinical
Psychology interns. Ruth then opened a private practice and consulted
at an orphanage. It was during this time that she began to consult
in psychometrics for South African Breweries (SAB). In 1994, she moved
to Cape Town, and took over an existing business. It was here that
Catalyst Consultants was born. The business initially provided
therapeutic services, as well as child assessments, in conjunction with
industrial consulting. Over time, however, the business came to
specialise in industrial assessments. Over the years, Ruth has
successfully expanded the business, both physically and in terms of its
client base.
